Mark Allen Respler M.D.

Hello, I am Dr. Mark Allen Respler, a Urologist at Ahava Medical & Rehabilitation Center. I have been in practice as a Urologist for over 40 years. My extensive tenure in this field means that I have years of hands-on experience in every aspect of Urology, but also have the benefit of constantly evolving methods and technology that make treatment more efficient and comfortable.

In training to become a Urologist, my journey took me across continents, from New York to Israel. I began in Yeshiva University before continuing on to Touro College. After graduating from Touro with my BA , I went to learn in Haifa, Israel. Upon returning from my studies abroad, I attended State University Of New York Downstate Medical Center for my doctorate. I interned at multiple prestigious hospitals around the New York City area, including Maimonides Medical Center and Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital. During my years of residency, I was the Chief Resident at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital. Upon completion of my formal education, I put out my shingle, opening my own private practice in Brooklyn, New York. Throughout my decades as a Urologist in private practice, I treated thousands of patients. As a certified Urological Surgeon, I am able to provide full service to my patients, from diagnostics to treatment and surgery if necessary. This means that all care can be performed by one dedicated specialist, and patients do not need to go elsewhere for surgery or other treatment. Although I specialize in all areas of Urology, my areas of expertise are Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and Bladder Outlet Obstruction.

I am committed to providing the highest level of care to my patients. One way to do that is to have a multilingual staff, enabling patients to communicate in the manner most comfortable to them. My office is fluent in English, Yiddish, Hebrew, Russian and Creole. I believe that every person deserves a chance to be treated in the best
way possible, which is why I often go out of my way to treat people that would ordinarily not receive treatment. My work in Homeless Shelters, Old Age Homes and facilities for the mentally disabled is both humbling and gratifying. I am eternally grateful to be able to use my expertise to help people in all walks of life.

As a Husband and Father of four, I relish spending time with my family. My interests outside work include rooting for my favorite teams- The Yankees, Knicks and Giants.
